The present Kapilash Zoo had come up as a Deer Park on 26th January, 1979. The Zoo has got recognition as a “Small” category Zoo on dated 01.04.1995 by the Central Zoo Authority (CZA). It has a total area of about 26.64 hectares. There are about 15 different species including Elephant, Sloth Bear, Crocodile, Python, etc.
